TECH TIPS

BUMPER RAIL UPRIGHT HOLE LOCATION

Because the location of the bumper actuator is determined by the cribbing supporting the lane, it is often necessary to drill a new hole for the actuator bracket. We have found the following procedure to be an excellent method to ensure proper automatic bumper functionality.

  • Raise bumpers and remove broken rail.
  • Install new rail (with the exception of the H bracket (049 007 076).
  • Lower the rail and mark where the hole needs to be drilled.
  • Raise the bumper again and drill hole where your mark is. Ensure this hole is not excessively oversized. Ovaling of the hole should not be necessary.
  • Install H bracket and pivot pin (049 007 148).
  • Test operation.

TMS/HW66 DRIVE MOTOR SPROCKET ORIENTATION

TMS and HWY 66 String Machines manufactured between the dates of June 4, 2014 SN: 201406110001 and ending date of December 9, 2014 SN: 201412090009 should be checked for the correct Drive Motor Sprocket orientation. The sprocket in the incorrect orientation will affect the overall performance of the equipment.

The following diagrams will show the incorrect orientation, correct orientation and an alignment tip once the sprocket is re-orientated properly. Details available on request:  Tech Support: 01442 286525 and techsupportuk@qubicaamf.com
